![]() Born: 1860? @ Bristol? to James Mitchell and Ann Mitchell (Nee Hodges) Married: Jan-Mar 1886 @ Portishead to Hannah Davies (Source: FreeBMD) Children: Frances Amy Mitchell and Mabel Elizabeth Mitchell Died: ??? (before 1901 as James Mitchell's will doesn't mention him and he didn't appear in the 1901 census) Buried: ???
[My current guess is that he was the stoker in the first census entry below, that his father was James Mitchell of 10 Canynge St, St Mary Redcliffe, Bristol (born 1832 in Combpyne, Devon), that his mother was Mary Ann Mitchell (nee Hodges, born 1831 in Bath, Somerset) and that would give him 3 younger sisters, Mary Jane (b.1865), Kate (b.1870) and Jessie (b.1875) who were all born in Bristol, plus possible older siblings, perhaps also serving at sea.]
