Constance ('Connie') was also known as 'Pat' to many people - her birth name was Adey but after her father died and her mother married Henry William Patten, she unofficially adopted the Patten surname. She and Leslie never had children but ran two shops, one at 3 Bruton Place, Clifton then they moved to another at 289 Church Road, St. George. After Leslie had several strokes and could no longer cope, they sold up and moved to Greenway Road in Redland, where they lived out the rest of their lives.
