Mabel had a very tough life running a boarding house in Clifton, Bristol. She was married twice, once to Thomas Adey who died, then she later married William Henry Patten. After he died she ended up living with Constance and her husband Leslie.

The 1901 census shows Mabel living with her uncle William J Hodges and aunt Mary E Hodges - presumably relatives of her grandmother's. It appears as if her parents have already died or had left them as Amy and Stanley are living with their grandparents, James and Ann Mitchell.

We have her birth, second marriage and death certificates.
